Action was taken at Monday’s city council meeting on bids opened earlier in the month for equipment for 10 police vehicles.
Haynes Emergency was the low bidder on lights at $2,220.50, vehicle consoles at $498 and prisoner screens and cargo barriers at $1,985.75.
Setina Manufacturing was the low bidder on push bumpers and front-end protection at $1,749.
A 2007 Ford bus used for public transportation was declared surplus. Those interested in purchasing the vehicle may go to http://www.govDeals.com to make a bid.
City offices will be closed for Christmas Dec. 25-26 and on New Year’s Day.
