Network International

Houston, TX

16 years of experience, 7 years at Liquidity Services

"I have been given so many opportunities to learn, grow, and develop as I grow with the company. At no point have I felt stifled or limited in what I could achieve, and I'm very thankful that I work for a company that has made so many wonderful things possible for me and my life."

Describe your role at Liquidity Services.

My role at Liquidity Services allows me to provide strategic leadership for the Network Operation's department and Network International as a whole. Additionally, I manage day-to-day tactical functional departments within Operations including; the Account Managers, Asset Management Team, Field Services, Customer Support, Accounting, and a Client Offsite Investment Recovery Representative. I also champion the need for process improvements in all of Operations, clearing a path and coordinating necessary resources for effective development and implementation. I also provide developmental opportunities and guidance for my team, along with higher level problem solving support and guidance for the successful execution of consignments, field service projects, and revenue generation.

What accomplishment are you most proud from your work at Liquidity Services?

I am most proud of being instrumental in the transition period management when we were acquired by Liquidity Services and I successfully assumed responsibility for the Operations team. As we continue to grow the business and retain the talent necessary to take our business to the next level, I'm proud to lead a team that truly helps us to stand out from the competition.

What do you enjoy most about working for Liquidity Services?

I enjoy coming to work every day and being surrounded by incredibly smart people with the passion and dedication to give their all in their contributions to ensure our company's success. Knowing that we are more than just colleagues and can laugh and get to know each other as people makes it a great place to work.

How would you describe the company culture?

We work together like a fun family with a lot of personalities thrown into the mix. We work hard, hold each other accountable, and enjoy activities together. Everyone here wants to be successful and is grateful to work with others who want and do the same. We also enjoy giving back to our community and rally behind anyone at our company looking to make a difference.

Chris

Zone Director, Western Pacific

Capital Assets Group

Hawaii

20 years of experience, 14 years at Liquidity Services

Liquidity Services has enabled me to tap into resources and talents that were not needed or fostered elsewhere. It also enabled me to provide a wonderful upbringing for my children both financially and mentally. Having a job that I love doing has translated into a very healthy situation at home.

Describe your role at Liquidity Services.

I am the overall supervisor for the Western Pacific region for Liquidity Services' Government Liquidation marketplace. On the ground level, I perform cyclic Inventories on our DOD property at individual sites and ensure that all safety and Sarbannes-Oxley requirements are being adhered to. These evaluations are performed at each site once every six months in a continuous cycle, with ongoing maintenance and training in between. I monitor all metrics for the zone and set goals for the sites as needed concerning use of overall resources, inventory aging and making sure that our sold inventory goes out the door and to the right customer as quickly as possible. I ensure that our employees have all the resources they need to do their jobs and that those resources are being utilized in the most efficient and fiscally responsible way possible. I act as the next-level liaison between my employees and their government partners to ensure that we are servicing our client to the best of our abilities and that company goals are communicated and met.

What accomplishment are you most proud from your work at Liquidity Services?

I am most proud of the team that has been built within the zone. When I took over as Zone Director, the Western Pacific region was coming up short on every metric level measured. Morale was low and the team lacked cohesion and that sense of culture and community that allows a group of people to work well together. The management team in place was lacking both guidance and goals. Over the last few years, the Western Pacific Zone has become a top performer in the company and the management team is the best we have ever assembled for the area. Many of the managers and employees in the zone have been in place for years now and the zone enjoys a social and community memory that enables a true sense of teamwork, better trouble-shooting, less crisis management and a more pro-active approach to daily challenges.

What do you enjoy most about working for Liquidity Services?

I most enjoy the people and the varying nature of my position. I have never worked for more ethical, fair and clear-minded people than I work for here. There is a true sense of camaraderie among colleagues and staff. The direction given is clear and concise and I always know where I stand in my performance. I enjoy traveling for the company and meeting the new challenges that come up each day within our partnership. The unpredictability of the challenges keeps the work fresh and expands my ability to solve issues in creative and constructive ways.

How would you describe the company culture?

Evolving. It is amazing to see the company becoming more integrated and finding myself to be a part of a larger group that is striving to reach a long-term goal. The culture in my team is at an amazing place. I am surrounded by people, both those I report to and those that report to me, who want to make the company successful, people that chose to set a different standard. Mentorship is key within the company. I have never worked for a company that places such importance on mentorship. Being mentored is an art that has been lost within many cultures and organizations. I am proud to be a part of a company that is ushering the future of sales, with the latest technology, yet doing those things with a mindfulness of tradition.

Describe your role at Liquidity Services.

I work in the Customer Service Department in Liquidity Services' Network International marketplace.
