If cold-weather combat boots, a tactical headset system, or camouflage field gear is on your Christmas list, then look no further than Uncle Sam’s Retail Outlet. This online – and now brick-and-mortar – store sells authentic military equipment including field gear, survival equipment, outdoor items, clothing, hardware and tools deemed surplus by the Department of Defense. Historically an e-commerce store, Uncle Sam’s Retail Outlet (USRO) recently opened to the public at two of Liquidity Services’ national surplus warehouses in Columbus, Ohio and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; perfect for those enthusiasts that like to try on and view items before purchasing them.
To kick off the holidays and as a thank you to our customers, both USRO locations recently hosted a pre- Black Friday sales event offering 45% off total purchases (and free donuts). Thanks to local media coverage in both markets and word of mouth, the turnout surpassed expectations with close to 1,000 people coming through our warehouses at both locations in a single day. From MREs to generators to duffel bags, steel toe boots and ammo cans, Columbus and Oklahoma City residents stocked up and saved big!
Don’t live in either location? You can still shop online 24/7 at www.unclesamsretailoutlet.com.
As an exclusive sales channel for Defense Department surplus, Liquidity Services is proud to sell authentic military equipment to the public while supporting our government partner’s zero-waste initiatives. Each year we sell millions of surplus military items to a national buyer base consisting of small business owners, end users, and military enthusiast via our online marketplaces including www.unclesamsretailoutlet.com and www.GovLiquidation.com. The results to date have been tremendous; over 240 million surplus items sold to date and two billion pounds of scrap materials deferred from landfills.
