Liquidity Services Proudly Supports Military Appreciation Month

“Doing Well and Doing Good” is a core value at Liquidity Services, and because May is Military Appreciation Month, we thought this would be a good time to communicate our support and appreciation to our military personnel.

Liquidity Services recognizes those who serve by donating to both wounded veterans and current active personnel, as well as by increasing awareness of various charitable causes.

Every May, our website and affiliated marketplaces post banners linking to military related causes, including the following: USO, Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund, Lone Survivor Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, Fisher House and Paws and Stripes. This is one way we encourage our clients and buyers to donate. We hope that anyone who interacts with our brand during the month of May will immediately recognize the importance of supporting our military. Charities such as those above ensure that after serving with honor, our troops and their relatives are treated with the respect and care they need and deserve.

Paws and Stripes pairs canines with service members, creating life-long friendships.

Liquidity Services also takes a more unique approaches to supporting veterans and active personnel. Paws and Stripes is one of the charitable organizations, as it promises to provide U.S. veterans with service dogs. This is particularly critical for wounded or disabled veterans, as service dogs are a luxury that many cannot afford. Additionally, former service members can benefit from the companionship of a new canine friend upon their return home.

Our support
Liquidity Services’ support of our troops does not stop there. Via our Government Liquidation marketplace, GovLiquidation.com, Liquidity Services actively partners with the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Navy, and U.S. Army, just to name a few. By assisting in their disposition of surplus assets, we enable these organizations, agencies, and military branches to receive a return on their investments while remaining sustainable. The return directly impacts funds available to our service members. The good news is that Liquidity Services helps those organizations dispose of a large amount of surplus assets.

One of the more intriguing military surplus dispositions included the repurposing of a large numbers of ship anchors. While only two were used for their intended purpose, the remaining anchors were shipped all over the world, with one landing at an art gallery in Oklahoma.

More recently, Liquidity Services decommissioned, recycled, and disposed of Navy vessels dating as far back as the Vietnam War. With the large equipment and massive collections of valuable natural resources, we were the only company that could sustainably and cost-effectively take on such a large scale project.

Last year, Liquidity Services donated a selection of military surplus items from its Uncle Sam’s Retail Outlet for a live charity auction for The Wounded Warrior Project. Not only did the event encourage live bidding from employees and suppliers to raise valuable funds to support this exceptional cause, but we contributed an extra $2,000 to the fund at the end of the auction to show our gratitude for those wounded in service.

Through our GovLiquidation.com online marketplace and our Military Appreciation Month campaigns, Liquidity Services is proud to give back to our troops, veterans, and their families. We continue to support a range of initiatives for the U.S. military from donating to causes dedicated to wounded veterans to providing donations and supplies for those actively engaged in service. On behalf of Liquidity Services, we would like to thank those who have served, who are currently serving, and Military family members located around the globe.
